There are two ways to receive a DS as the return value of a procedure - return a pointer containing the address of the structure, or return the structure itself as a single field. The following shows how the second one works. I've hardcoded the DS, but obviously an external description would be better. D ReturnDS DS D Field1 20 D Field2 10 D MyProc Pr Like(ReturnDS) D Parm 1 Const C Eval ReturnDS = MyProc('X') P MyProc B D PI Like(ProcDS) D Request 1 Const D ProcDS DS D Fld1 20 D Fld2 10 C If Request = 'X' C Eval Fld1 = *ALL'X' C EndIf C Return ProcDS P E Jon Paris - AS/400 AD Market Support - paris@ca.ibm.com Phone: (416) 448-4019 - Fax: (416) 448-4414 +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
