PAE sells a product called QINBETWEEN. It is the only multi-threaded
systems that is sold on the AS/400. Currently one can have up to 26
threads. Each thread currently handle 5 jobs at a time. Jobs can be held,
jobs can have run job priorities and jobs can be rerun. It also has a job
tracking system for each thread. It also has a reporting structure. If
the system ends abnormally, QINBETWEEN will start up where it left off.

DTAQs are nice but one has NO control of jobs in the DTAQ once they are
there. Also if you lose power, ALL GONE, ugh. QINBETWEEN does not have
that problem. It does not use JOBQs and uses only 1 SBSD.

PC/Accelerator, our RISC conversion tool, uses QINBETWEEN to process
program conversions. The number of threads is dynamically created based
on Model/memory of the system.
