Hello, Could it be that a programmer has caused this message to be sent to the *sysopr message queue? Possibly from the CLP or the HLL program being run at the time message is received. Oftentimes I have seen where a file may have *nomax ....bbbuuuuutttttt... some programmer at some time in a user program limited the size arbitrarily during a file load to just stop at 800 for some reason. Maybe the message you are getting is not an OS400 generated message but a programmer one. Check it out. ---- Tim & Dana Truax... and Caleb 4 years old.
