Hi All -

I get this question a lot. Here's what I tell people to do:

 - Do WRKCFGSTS *CMN and look for the first V.24 port. It's not necessarily
LIN011 any more.
 - Check your QES, QTI, and Q1P line descriptions, and change if necessary.
 - Test with SNDSRVRQS *TEST

If ECS has not been configured, or had been configured and a config object was
deleted:

 - Do WRKOBJ QES* *All and delete all config objects (line, controller, and
devices). LEAVE ALL OTHER OBJECT TYPES ALONE!
 - Do the same with the QTI* config objects.
 - As QSECOFR or equivalent do CALL QTIINSTL. This will recreate the objects
you just deleted.
 - Test as above.

Hope this helps....

Oh, by the way, here are the numbers for 9600bps and 19.2 (they be changed on
your system ba calling QESPHONE, use the 1st two portions of hte data area):

9600: 800-327-0949 and 800-527-8207
19.2: 800-237-8804 and 800-525-2834

Subject: Re: Problem with QESLINE, QTILINE, Q1PLIN

Thanks for all the replies. After changing the resource name to CMN01
it now works.

1. How can I tell if the ECS/service moniter subsystem is already
configured or not?

2. Are the instructions documented anywhere so I could do this myself?
