Not much expertise with token-ring (ethernet only), however,
when one re-installs OS/2 and a new card, let the autocreate
function work on the AS/400 to build a new profile.  If it is
the same card, delete the profile on the AS/400 and let it
be autocreated once again.  I "futzed" with this for well over
a week at a client site once ... and allowing the above to
work, it was a slam-dunk.
