ON RISC versions of OS/400 communication resource names are generated in
the form CMNxx (not LINxx as on CISC releases).
I suspect you are using wrong (non-existing) resource name.
Look at WRKHDWRSC *CMN display and find resource for V.24 port. It is
more likely to be CMN01.
