I *THINK* it was like this: S/3, S/32, S/34, (S/36 & S/38), AS/400.

The S/36 & S/38 were kinda out at the same time.... different classes of
machine though (both midrange).

I could be wrong.  I kinda jumped into the scene at the S/36 stage.
