RE: Area Codes (was Happy Birthday !)

Yes, the overlay area codes (as opposed to a split) do save existing
users from changing their phone number if they are in the wrong part of
the area code being split, but the downside is that local calls to
another area code (which could be next door, or down the hall) then
become 10 digit numbers.
