Fellow Midrangers, In the IPL-procedure I need to know whether the previous powerdown was normal or not. Normal meaning that a PWRDWNSYS-command was issued ( Restart option can be *yes/*no ) Abnormal would be a power loss, disk crash or some other goodies that can happen. I was thinking of using the QABNORMSW System value. However the helptext refers to the ENDJOBABN-command. Does anyone of you have any experience with this systemvalue and/or the ENDJOBABN-command ? An other approach would be changing the contents of a dataara during IPL and in the PWRDWNSYS-command. Is it possible to create an exit point for the powerdown command, and will this be preserved when upgrading ? Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW were on a 620 running V4R1 TIA Chris =========================================================================== Chris Spirinckx # E-mail live : Chris.Spirinckx@village.uunet.be F. van Eedenplein 4a/5 # ICQ number : 14033396 B2050 Antwerpen # E-mail work : cspirinc@pee.pioneer.be BELGIUM (Europe) # Tel/Fax : + 32 3 219.09.12 +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
