Regan:
I used to be at a shop with Netsoft and CA on W95 and DOS and all would not
just hang, but totally drop.  The user's screen would go blank.  They would
disconnect and reconnect and get back in , but it was a pain.

We also attributed it to network congestion.  If the AS/400 is above 90%
CPU, IBM won't guarantee communications.  We ran traces and all sorts of
stuff and never did figure out the problem before I left the company.  Last
I heard we thought it might be too many different protocols on the network
and we were going to standardize on TCP/IP for connection to the AS/400 as
well as the Novell server.
