OK. You've hit a subject that I feel is not covered enough—using the 400 as
a _client_ to other RDBMS's, like SQL Server, Oracle, or, here, MS Access.
The discussion always assumes the 400 is the server.

Having said that, here's an idea. You can write a module or macro (forget
which) in Access that can do almost any Access command. What I'm thinking
of is something that creates output of the Access table to, say, a text
file. Then this could be transferred with FTP or ?. And it could be done
batchwise with RUNRMTCMD from the 400, starting Access with that
macro/module. Maybe?
