I'll admit I've found one use for RLU. If you have a bunch of overrides you need to use when running the CRTPRTF command (different forms size, forms id, overflow lines, maybe a save or hold) then I use RLS to create the printer file and it saves all this crap at the end of the source. You can go ahead and change the report the old fashioned way, but when you're ready to recreate the printer file it will make sure you don't miss any of the create options.
