I don't use the CD anymore.

I use the IBM pubs web site. http://as400bks.rochester.ibm.com/

For quick lookups, I use the HTML, and I go directly to the correct release
that I am looking for.  For complete books, I download the .pdf file and
print the book.  I have the duplex feature on my laser printer, and an
extra drawer of paper loaded with three holed paper.

Unfortunately, the economic realities of the marketplace prohibit IBM from
properly dispensing documentation like they did in Version 1 (and to a
lesser extent in Version 2).
