I've got the sinking feeling that I need to use RTOPCB should be able to run over the same environments that the interactive transfer can use, and that doesn't require APPC at all anymore. Just plain TCP/IP works fine. The only time I've had a problem with this program it was because the target file already existed and it had not correctly translated an old Rumba transfer profile. I deleted the target file and it worked. The "Unable to connect" message though, sounds like maybe it's trying to log on to the AS/400. Try establishing a connection with PC5250 first and then running the transfer interactively in a DOS window to see if there is any difference. BTW, transfer initialization, while still less than breathtaking, seems a lot quicker with V3R1M3 of CA.
