Also, I believe that S/38 logicals default to FIFO order for records with duplicate keys, whereas the AS/400 default is essentially an indeterminate order (this broadens the opportunities for sharing of access paths). This is from memory, check the S/38 Environment Programmer's Guide/Reference for verification. If you have any LF's where it matters, you can specify FIFO, although I don't remember if it's a DDS keyword or a CRTLF/CHGLF parameter.
