I checked B&R (again) and all I can find is what I already knew: Go
to DST (Requires IPL of course) End Raid protection (Requires Ending
Mirroring all but the newest AS/400e boxes) Then restart Raid, (and
Restart Mirroring). And besides all that (which WILL take some time) it
never actually says that it will convert a 4-set to and 8-set. It seems
from one of my previous passes through this process that if the drives
were ever in a Raid-set they retain the previous attributes (as in we
got a 4-set again).

None of this qualifies as a 'Simple command in OS/400'.
