Is there any way that you could FTP a text file over to the Linux box? Maybe you could create a Perl script on the Linux box that would use sendmail to send it out. For example, you could put the "To:", "From:", and "Subject:" lines at the top of the text file and the Perl script would parse those out and use them. Of course, this requires that you know how to write a Perl script and use sendmail, or have someone that can do this for you. ;) Good luck! For example a nightly batch job would create a one page report and then e-mail to various accounts. What do I need to accomplish this. It is a small project so there isn't a budget to go out and spend $2000 just to provide these reports. We have an inhouse mail server (linux) and an internet connection. Do we need to run SMTP on our 400 or is there a POP client we can use. John L.
