You could try a Modem eliminator. The AS/400's need to be close enough
to connect the ports together. And I don't think they are expensive.
The Comm's manuals have a setup that should show you the configuration
required. Then you should be able to use DDM files or QSNADS for
transferring data.
I'm not sure where you can source a modem eliminator but I'm sure IBM
would know.

Subject: AS/400 to AS/400 not by LAN

Has anyone got any ideas on how to get two AS/400's talking to each other
without using a LAN or modems connected to the Internal phone system? Is
there a way even if its slow and a bit non-standard? Its a temporary measure
for a 310 box to talk to a 420 box for a few months as some software cannot
be ported across.
