QUSRTOOL does not go away completely after V3R1. V3R1 of
OS/400 included 320 TAA Tools that Jim Sloan wrote, plus
around 14 or so (I don't remember exactly) "non-TAA tools"
that assorted other folks wrote. Jim licensed away the
stuff he wrote, and it was pulled after V3R1, leaving the
"non-TAA tools" behind.

In releases after V3R1 the source for the TAA tools is
pulled out of the QUSRTOOL lib (look at the members
included in QUSRTOOL/QATTINFO I think the member name
is AAAREADME? I'm at home so can't check.) after you
unpackage it, there will won't be many. There is a long
list of stuff that was removed. One or two of the ones
removed are actually non-TAA Tools that were pulled for
reasons other than Jim licensing his away. I don't
remember offhand which. I think the page separator pgm
was one.

We added our own page separator pgm, so at least
now I can offer folks who using the non-TAA one who were
"orphaned" an alternative. I hate it when people call and
I can't even do that. I don't mind refering people to
another company, but it's frustrating when the only thing
I can say is basically that they are SOL. :-(
