I wrote my tool before Bypass existed. It does software analysis and allows programmer leve intervention to make Y2k changes. However when Bypass came out, I modified it as a front end to Bypass to do date searching and seeding such like. Then Search2000 came out. I still think mine is more flexible, but that could be my Ego..(I am a techo after all) The advantage of the tool is that it can be sued to scan systems for any search criteria, not just dates. krisV -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com] On Behalf Of Glenn Ericson Sent: Thursday, 28 May 1998 1:12 To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: Bypass2000 : Bringing the millennium At 11:14 PM 5/27/98 +1000,KrisV wrote: >Hello, > Doing Y2k change using Bypass and a front end tool I wrote. > > Has anybody got a project finished using Bypass? > > Any tips..(apart from why did you take this on?) > > KrisV > >+--- Kris why did you take the time to write your own front end tool?
