The way it sets up a minimal app for maintaining a DB2/400 table is pretty neat. Just use the data access tool. I think the main issue is Java, not this tool. BTW, there's a set of very fine ScreenCams at <http://www.software.ibm.com/ad/vajava> the I looked. They show you how a Bill Hahn navigates the product, and they are very helpful, IMO. A fairly hefty download but worth it.
