A couple things:

1. maybe a direct link to the Net.Data forum accessible eventually from the
AS/400 net.data site

2. I've a couple net.data tips they've not published
   a. %define a table variable to directly control the number of records
retrieved. Otherwise, net.data will try to return all records
   b. If you just give a select statement, net.data assumes you may want to
update and will retrieve the entire record. To get only the fields you
specify, use a for fetch only clause.
