Hi Cary,
This method you are employing illustrates a thinker!  Just a thought... I am
unfamiliar with an API to do this, but I am certain there is one.  Couldn't you
use a *DTAARA and load the parms/variables into this, then it will remain an
accessible object should you want to view the parms/variables later.
