The latter is the front end for the former. It sounds like you're talking about Query Management, not Manager. BTW, Query Management Programming, ch 12, discusses compatibility between Query/400 and itself. You cannot ignore DDE's in QM, probably because it's really an SAA CPI product, and therefore needs to be consistent across multiple platforms.
