something is drastically wrong here because my customers regularly get sub
3 second signon displays when they jettison the router.  Vern has long
championed this connection type and I predict that as full implementation
of display, printer, file transfer become available, routers will disappear
along with MCA, OS/2, tokenring, dinosaurs, and SNA.
