Dave, thanks for the response.  I have my cleanup specified as follows:

                            Change Cleanup Options
                                                            04/22/98  22:29:01
Type choices below, then press Enter.

Allow automatic cleanup . . . . . . . . . . . . .   Y             Y=Yes, N=No

Time cleanup starts each day  . . . . . . . . . .   03:00:00      00:00:00-
                                                                  23:59:59,
                                                                  *SCDPWROFF,
                                                                  *NONE

Number of days to keep:
  User messages . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   7             1-366, *KEEP
  System and workstation messages . . . . . . . .   7             1-366, *KEEP
  Job logs and other system output  . . . . . . .   10            1-366, *KEEP
  System journals and system logs . . . . . . . .   30            1-366, *KEEP
  OfficeVision for AS/400 calendar items  . . . .   5             1-366, *KEEP

This works well for us but it seemed like we had so many QHST*
files on the system.  After some additional checking, I noticed that
the max records for these was set at 500.  I've increased it
to 10,000 which should reduce the number of files.

Speaking of cleanup, does anyone know of a way to clear out
spool files in a saved status older than x days?

TIA,
Marc ( mzylka@netpath.net
