> Does anyone know how one could easily prevent Client Access for > Windows 95 from putting the "AS/400 Operation Navigator" on the > Windows 95 Desktop or anywhere else on the PC? To get it off the desktop easily, just right-click the shortcut and delete the shortcut from the desktop (older versions of CA/400 didn't put the shortcut on the desktop but rather put the real OpsNav there). To delete it entirely, don't go through the hassle of reinstalling CA/400, just move or delete the CWBUNNNAV.EXE file in the Client Access folder. Be careful trying to remove this file simply by renaming it. Most of the time (but not always) Win95 is smart enough to change short-cut references to the new name. I asked IBM several months ago why the OpsNav was included as part of the default installation. It certainly doesn't seem to me that it should part of the default installation. Then IBM offered up the lame excuse that at least now all it did was put the shortcut on the desktop. Go figure. rp +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
