Sorry to say, won't be in NOLA, at least not until the second weekend of 
the NOJHF. B-) Less client days away, (even) more amazing lineups of 
musical wonderment. If you're on the fence about the first week, take it 
from me, stay. If your hotel is charging too much, check the net for 
local numbers and find a cancellation at lower cost. You won't regret it.

Outside the Quarter, be sure to check out the Maple Leaf Bar (on Oak) and 
Tipitina's (at Napolean and Tchoupitoulas. If you want a really amazing 
meal, don't miss Galatoire's on Bourbon, among many others.
