I'm not going, (and I'm extremely jealous).... :( Go to Michael's (pronounced MEEshaws). It's not far from the quarter, but take a taxi after dark. Not much else around it and it could get scary at night. All the natives know where it is. Just ask for it by name. Authentic cajun - food, live music (sonofagun we're gonnahavebigfun, downonthebuyou), atmosphere, I think you have to speak cajun (or play a washboard) to work there.
