Nigel,

The list API header contains an offset to the start of the list, and the number 
of bytes in a list entry. You declare a based structure that provides a 
template for a single list entry, and then set the pointer to the first byte of 
the entry. This can easily be accomplished by overlaying the entire data space 
with an array of bytes. Length 32767 is usually sufficient. This doesn't 
actually use up any space in your program, just make sure not to reference 
space beyond the length of the data actually returned (also in the API header).
