  • Subject: Limited availability PTF for SSL API

Howdie!

I was involved in a conference call today where I was reminded that
there hasn't been much advertising for the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
Limited Availability (LA) PTF that was/is available starting in Decmeber
1997 for V4R1. This SSL LA PTF provides a set of 6 socket-like APIs
that will allow you to SSL enable (along with the sockets API) an
application written to TCP/IP on the AS/400. If you are interested in
obtaining this SSL LA PTF to SSL enable your TCP/IP socket applications,
and you are in North America, then you should contact Bruce Vining at
BVINING@us.ibm.com or myself, MLBAUMAN@us.ibm.com. If you are not
located in North America then please contact your AS/400 IBM
representative and have them contact Bruce or I for the SSL LA PTF.

I apologize for not posting this notice earlier.
