Is there some reason you can't

      DSPOBJD OBJ(<library>/GR*)
              OBJTYPE(*ALL)
              OUTPUT(*OUTFILE)
              OUTFILE(<outfile>)

and use the outfile for your app.

Still working on the RISC conversion ....

I need a way to retrieve the names of all objects in a certain library
that start with a generic string

ie : GR*

This is leftover S36 code where the program did a catalog to a disk file
and then scanned the disk file.

I found the QUSLOBJ API but a) not having used the user space API's
before & b) Working in ILE-C for the first time is tough

any help will be greatly appreciated
