Yes, DataPropagator will do the job and yes you'll need it on both machines.
On the host, or server, machine you'll set up the files as being eligible
for
copying.  On the client machine, you'll set up which files you want to copy
and when, or how often.  Initially, you'll copy the whole file unless the
host
has this functionality turned off.

I used this product at my last job and it works well.   It becomes difficult
when 2 way propagation is required for the same file.  You'll also need
to handle the purging of the log files.
