What I ended up doing was finding the setting for the sizing of the fonts
and windows and setting it so that the font size is constant, but the
window size changes when the window changes from 80 columns wide to 132
columns wide. Then, when the SEU window comes up with the 132 version
instead of the 80 version the letters stay the same size, but the right
side sticks off the side, out of view, which is ok since I only lose the
date updated column.
