Believe DSPPFM on dof_per or its based on physical will show the SELECTed
field in question looks the same way. Switch to hex on the DSPPFM to see
how the 400 stores a negative signed number:

FFFFFFFD <-- the 'D' here represents a negative number
00027162 if it were an 'F', the value would be positive

There are different ways around this, depending on the purpose of the
outfile. If attempting to generate a file for a PC, one nice feature of
SEQUEL's EXECUTE command is the (?) parm that allows specification of a
PC filetype, use DIF, CSV, SYLK or whatever's supported and put the file
out to a shared folder, then use CA on the PC to open (import) it.
