I just tried this on our 4.1 system running at sec level 40 and got this
message:

CALL QARDRIVE
Object domain or hardware storage protection violation. (MCH6801)
Error found on CALL command.

Not sure how to fix other that lowering the system security level.

To anyone interested,
>From the dawn of time the S/3X and S/40 have had a
CE test tool that allows workstation functionality testing.
A customer running V4R2 told me that this function
did not work for him and I was wondering whether IBM
has taken out this diagnostic function.
You can access it from a Sign-on screen prompt by pressing
the TestRequest function (usually a Cmd-Backspace keystroke
combination) or while signed on execute "CALL QARDRIVE"
from a command line. (don't interrupt your current work to
call qardrive as it will sign you off when it ends! - just do it
from a menu with no other work in down levels).
My V4R2 system is still in the order process. Could someone
that has V4R2 install give it a test and tell me whether
option 1 "display verification" works for them? (this is a
testing tool and is non-destructive -- not like STRSST
which you can do -bad- things with). It will, however,
sign you off the system when exiting the function.
Any comments welcome. Thanks for any time spent in
my bothersome question.
Best regards,
Preston
