During testing, I am using dynamic IP assigned by ISP when I place the SLIP call. When I point browser or TELNET client to my host, I use the IP Address. I did not mean the I telnet from the web. I can reach my host by using a TELNET client. I can see AS/400 HTTP server by using browser, I can use Workstation gateway from my browser, etc. I was able to send SMTP mail from my AS/400. For a different application where I will not have a dedicated connection, I need to find out how to retrieve mail stored on ISP's POP3 server to AS/400's POP3 server. I have customer who dials internet once a day from a PC and retrieves an email from his customer. That email has an attachment which we must upload to the 400 each day and convert to a physical file. We would like AS/400 to dial once or twice a day and retrieve email from ISP's pop3 server and handle it directly with no user intervention. -- Art Tostaine, Jr. Creative Computer Associates, Inc.
