  • Subject: PC Spool file Viewer

I am looking for products that allow the viewing of AS/400 spool files
from the PC. It should work across TCP/IP. It should also have the
capability to print the report on an AS/400 printer or a printer
attached to the LAN. It should also support any kind of spool
file (AFP, IPDS, or SCS).

I am not looking for a download and view product. I need something
that allows viewing on the "fly".

I know IBM offers a product call AFP Workbench Viewer. But this
only seems to support reports printed with an AFP printer file.
Spool files printed with a SCS printer file come across as garbage.
Does anybody have anymore good info or experience with this
product.

I am creating a Client/Server app (VARPG) where the report generation will
be done on the AS/400 with a Printer server like program. I would
like the user to be able to view these reports from the PC in a GUI not
a 5250 green screen.
