After re-reading your post, I see that the AS/400 is where you are running the TELNET client. I had assumed you where doing the telnet from your PC. Wish I were. It would probably be easier. The DSPVTMAP only works if you are signed on to the AS/400 from a VT-100 device such as telnet or an ascii VT-100 terminal. Yes, the TELNET client negotiates with the TELNET server for the kind of display. If the server says VT100, the AS400 TN session becomes VT100; if the server says 3270, the AS400 becomes a TN3270 display; and so on. If you don't become either one of those you can't use their associated keyboard map commands. Thanks.
