× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

If the AS/400 is the controlling system I'd use data queues. Vice versa the 
Remote Command API is a possible alternative. 

On the NT side you can quite easily prototype the communicative behaviour of 
your solution with a tiny Visual Basic program.
