The only way to FTP "none-file" stuff is first save the object to a SAVF.
Then FTP the save file and restore the object.
To FTP the SAVF:
FTP "IP ADDRESS"
(logon)
BINARY
NAMEFMT 1
GET(PUT) /qsys.lib/LIBRARY.LIB/SAVEFILE.SAVF
/qsys.lib/LIBRARY.LIB/SAVEFILE.SAVF
QUIT

Then restore as usual

I'm trying to get a MSGF from one AS/400 to another with ftp using the "
GET " command but it won't work.  After checking that message file MSGF1
was indeed in library LIB1, I tried :
get LIB1/ MSGF1     LIB2/ MSGF1
200 PORT subcommand request successful.
550 File MSGF1 in library LIB1 not found.

Any idea?
