AS/400 disks are formatted to 520 bytes per sector. Most PC operating systems expect to work with 512 bytes per sector. You need a SCSI mode-page editor to change blocklength and number of sectors, last time I looked there was one at: http://index.storsys.ibm.com/hddtech/scsi/utility/SCSIMD10.EXE Enter the new parameters, then format the disk with ASPIFMT and it should be ready and working.
