As per the HPIIISI Operators Guide.

USER MAINTENANCE message is displayed when the printer has printed 200,000
pages.

To clear the message:

1) Take the printer OFFLINE

2) Hold down the MENU key until PCL CONFIG MENU appears(If your printer is
configured for PostScript, you will see PS CONFIG MENU).

3) Press the MENU key several time to scroll through the Configuration Menu
selections until you reach SERVICE MSG=ON*.

4) Press the + or - key to change the message to SERVICE MSG=OFF.

5) Press teh ENTER/RESET MENU key to turn the message OFF.  An asterisk (*)
appears after your choice.

6) Turn the printer ONLINE.

Good luck, I have had to reset our HPIIISI a number of times.
