Reveal Software's Messaging System is a good product.  Worked with it a bit.
Does paging (to phones, modems, and pagers), allows answering of messages
on the
AS/400 via touch-tone phone (no getting up at 4AM and going to work.  Just
select
the message reply to want and press a button), handles messages and message
queues.  Excellent for handling DRP communications trees and the like.  You
can
define quite complex users and groups of users.
