Both QQRYDEGREE and QQRYTIMLMT were planned and consequently went through the translation process with the remainder of V3R1. When I negotiated to get the new system value, they said backwards level system values via PTF were too expensive to do, so I suggested the data area as a comprimise. I wish they had reviewed the design and the name. The data area should have been put into an IBM library (QSYS), not QGPL.
