You are right, that is the plan. Some of the programs that will need reference to the new file are old programs though, with internally described screens, and are not a pretty thing to see. I rewrite a few of them as I come to them, even though the client has said that externally described screens is not a goal nor even a desired thing. The few cvtrpgsrc that i attempted (for those programs) turned into hornet's nests as I tried to even find out what the original validations and functions were. In general though, converting to rpgle has been smooth and the right choice.
