Hi, Sorry, I messed up the syntax. To put a file on a PC from the AS400, it's PUT [library name]/[filename].[member name] [pathname on PC] to retrieve a file from a PC to the AS400, it's GET [pathname on PC] [library name]/[filename].[member name] Sorry for the confusion. I was going too quick before I took my son to school. Chris Gonzalez

The syntax that I've always used is: GET [library name]/[filename].[member name] eg: GET BOOTH/QDDSSRC.ARFILE If you are transferring to another system, say a PC, then you would complete the sentence with the pathname in the syntax of the target system. For instance, to transfer a file to your PC from the AS400 you would say: GET [library name]/[filename].[member name] [pathname on PC in DOS syntax]. This has always worked for me. I hope it helps.
