If you haven't already changed the "Change configuration while active"
to Yes, and you're having problems finding who is using the S/36EE when
you try to do a CHGS36, just find the culprit with:
WRKOBJLCK #LIBRARY *LIB

BTW, while you're in the CHGS36, unless it's already set, change
the "Change
configuration while active" or whatever the wording is to 'Y'.
You won't be able
to change anything if it's 'N' unless you end all S/36 jobs. By
"job" that
includes your signon. You must sign on as a *NONE special
environment (SPLENV)
user profile parameter and even at that you may still have to
issue a ENDS36
command. If you receive something like #LIBRARY not available
now, try later
message, check for any unanswered messages (print queues), end
writers, end
QBATCH/QINTER if you have to. Sometimes that's the only way to
inact the CHGS36.
