An OPM example of using the spool api's and User Spaces can be
found at http://ws121.supnet.com/websupport and then select "CGI
Programing" and go down to the Web Bassed Work With Spool files.
This is written to run as a CGI program under I/Nets
Webserver/400 product. But, the calls are the same. Actualy,
the original code was written to be interactive and was
converted to CGI. You'd just be taking it full circle!

Subject: Changing Spool File Attributes

Stephen,

An example of how to use the QUSLSPL with ILE RPG is available
in
Appendix B of the System API Programming manual (SC41-5800,
available
via the web). The sample does show how to use format SPLF0200
with
keys (though not the same keys you need).

Being at V3R0M5 I realize you don't have access today to ILE
RPG, but
hopefully you do intend to upgrade to a more current release (if
for
nothing else, the year 2000). At worst, you could rewrite the
sample
using OPM RPG (and the Retrieve User Space (QUSRTVUS) API rather
than
the ILE pointer to the *USRSPC).

Hope this pointer helps,
Bruce Vining
