The access path will be shared only if the select/omit logic is dynamic -- unless the logical in question has identical s/o criteria. Which leads to an interesting question: If I have 2 logicals, one keyed Fld1, Fld2 with STATIC select where Fld3 = 'C' and the other keyed Fld1, Fld2 with DYNAMIC select where Fld3 = 'C' will the second logical share the access path of the first? -Walden > -----Original Message----- > From: mcsnet!midrange.com!midrange-l-owner@Mcs.Net > [SMTP:mcsnet!midrange.com!midrange-l-owner@Mcs.Net]On Behalf Of Al > Barsa, Jr. > Sent: Sunday, December 14, 1997 3:17 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: Logical file index size too small? > > > At 01:05 PM 12/10/97 -0500, you wrote: > >Hello again! > > > >We've got a physical file with 2.7 million records and 10+ > >logical files built over it.
